Vintage Modernist Brutalist Sterling Silver & Unusual Rare Stone Heavy Huge Ring
This is unique handmade Modernist Brutalist Vintage. With a multicoloured stone, that I think is raw unpolished. Please see pictures and decide, if you know more about gemstones.
The stone is very impressive with gold like flushes. Because the stone was left unpolished there are natural cracks, lines and other visible. But this is normal state for unfinished raw stone of this kind. I think this ring was made in the United States or Canada in 1960s or 1970s. The maker's mark looks like partly worn off.
It marked WIMEL and Sterling. The top's part of the ring is 2.75 cm x 1.3 cm and sits 0.65 cm high from a finger. Shank's width is 6.5 mm, thickness is 1.5 mm. Weight 11.77 gr (on my special jewellery scale).
Ring's internal diameter is about 16.5 mm, because of the ring's form, thickness and width in my experience it fits to UK size L, maybe L 1/2. The ring is in a very good vintage condition, with only slightly visible signs of use and lovely patina, p. Lease see pictures for details or ask me.
