Gorgeous Pendant with deep blue, bezel-set, oval kyanite cabochon. Necklace is constructed with beautiful blue gray pearls alternate with smooth round sterling beads. As with all her pre-April 2023 pieces, handcrafted in America with gemstones from around the world. My admiration for Carolyn's designs began after receiving 2 pieces as a gift. I found that the quality and attention to detail were impeccable and truly set her apart from other designers! Even the backs of the pieces were detailed. There was no skimping on the amount of sterling, nor the quality of the gemstones. Having collected many pieces since, I find Carolyn's jewelry to be highly wearable and makes me feel as if I'm wearing sculptural pieces of art.

Until May 2023, all her designs were proudly made in America with gemstones from around the world. I say "were" because Carolyn, and her husband Bill, semi-retired in May 2023 Congrats to both!!!

Although they will continue to contribute as designers for QVC, they shut down the manufacturing and retail operations of American West jewelry. As a result, they laid off their employees and handed everything over to QVC (except a bit of design consultation and a spokesperson role).

This represents the end of an era of beautiful Southwest jewelry designs that were handcrafted by Carolyn's team. It makes the pieces of her pre-retirement collections more highly regarded and special to me. If there is a problem, I will gladly work with you to resolve the issue.
