Rare Antique Gumps Gump's 14k Green Jade Cabochon Gold Rondelles Strand Necklace
GORGEOUS green jade cabochon design clasp that is accented in 14k yellow gold. LOVELY strand of jade beads with 14k gold rondelles spacers and separated knotted silk thread. " It measures approximately 16 1/2"L fully opened and laid flat. The larger jade beads measure approximately 3/8 round. The smaller jade beads measure approximately 1/4 round.
The oval green jade cabochon on the clasp, measures 3/8"L by 1/4"W. It has been worn a few times, but has been stored away in a safe in a non-smoking home. It also has, "2784" scratched on clasp... But, it is hard to see. I believe this is leaf green nephrite jade.
It does have the original Gump's box, but there is wear to the box from age. My scale only weighs on 1 gram increments, so it is In-between 36 and 37 grams. The silk thread does seem to be loosing.
