Handmade Rare Blue Peruvian Opals and Pearl Necklace With 14k Toggle Clasp NR

  

The large stones are tumbled polished blue-green B grade Peruvian Opal nuggets. The smaller gemstones are higher A quality blue Peruvian Opal shards. In between those are solid 14k yellow gold beads on either side of real white 5mm lustrous pearls. They are only found in the Andes Mountains near San Patricio Peru. They are a sedimentary rock formed at a low temp from an igneous rock with high silica content. They come in blue and pink. They are not to be confused with gemstones of a much lesser quality or the any dyed stones being passed off as real ones. AAA quality are very expensive, have no dark spots at all and are an even bright aqua blue like the photo of earrings shown (that I made previously) as an example. Peruvian Opals are soft stones and you will see what look like hairline cracks in some of them. They are inclusions, not actual cracks.
