Antique C1700/1800s Tribal Necklace Handmade Silver Beads w Huge Patina RARE 16. This is a very special tribal necklace.
I have another one listed with Bronze beads but this is the one that's really special. I'm gonna describe it top to botton and you decide. Right away, the clasp is handmade by a blacksmith.
It's black now due to tarnish. You keep going down, it's hard not to notice how much time someone put into the design. There's two very special beads towards the bottom - one on each side of the big one in the middle. One has a depicting of a deer with some gold gilding and even a little red ink. The bead on the other side has a hunter with a bow. So keeping all of this in mind, just look at the patina that has been built up over the years on the silver beads. It's the ones that look like flowers. However, not only can you still see it's silver but you can see it's gold plated aswell. All of these details places this stunning piece no later than mid 1800s. Silver simply doesn't develop that type of patina unless it has a LOT of time.
