A strand of ancient carnelian, agate stone beads from Mali, sub Saharan West Africa. This type of bead is hard to find, I collected these over a period of several years. The beads measures in length 10 mm to 32 mm and in diameter 3.6 mm to 4.7 mm. Excluding the stringing material, the length of the strand is 17.5 inches, 45 cm.
